Steven Backman Press Release

Serendipity Fine Arts & Crafts Show Presents
Toothpick Sculptures by Steven J. Backman

Steven J. Backman, a San Francisco native, has been creating one-of-a-kind toothpick sculptures since he was a child. From intricately detailed curvilinear designs to modern abstract fine art, Mr. Backman has received worldwide recognition for his creativity.

A selection of Mr. Backman's latest creations of toothpick art, including his most recent miniature sculptures, will be on exhibition at Fort Mason Center in San Francisco November 10th & 11th, 2007. The Festival Pavilion will be open 10:00am - 6:00pm daily.

From modern abstract toothpick sculptures to contemporary masterpieces, art collectors will be intrigued by Mr. Backman's keen imagination and extreme patience.

Steven J. Backman

We are very pleased and honored to have Steven J. Backman in our show. A San Francisco native, Steven has been creating toothpick sculptures since he was a child. His most recent exhibition was featured in the lobby of the Empire State building last spring.

Load times are now Friday, November 9th from 11:00am - 5:00pm. Please note there will be a parking director at the front gate to direct traffic Saturday morning for set up.

VIP Artist Lounge

Beverages, pastries, and sandwiches will be provided for the artists courtesy of Northpoint Coffee in Sausalito. We want to make sure that the artists have a place to go to for a little relaxation. The VIP Artist Lounge will be located in the back of the festival pavillion. Head upstairs towards the left side of the building in the little terrace. Sponsors, press, and media are also welcome.

There is additional parking within walking distance down the Marina towards the Golden Gate Bridge, in the Marina Greens parking lot or Chrissy Field area.
